Part 1 - The Low Down on Breasts and Nipples.

What type of breast are you?

Breast are incredible things that serve so many different purposes in our lives. As much as we say we’d quite happily have no breasts like men, I think we actually forget how clever they are. Between feeding our precious bundles, being very sensual and also being seen as an attractive feature by many, breasts are a great asset to our bodies. But did you know that breasts come in so many different shapes and sizes; 7 according to recent research carried out by Third Love.

Your breasts change incredibly when you're pregnant and breastfeeding, but hopefully by understanding your breast shape, you might just be able to make better decisions when choosing the right bra for you.

So with no further ado, we’d like to introduce to you your breast shapes...

Round Breasts

Round Breasts

Breasts appear to be equally full at both the top and bottom. Natures on your side if you have round breasts.

Recommended Bras - Your breasts naturally have great shape, so you don't need anything too contoured or padded. Try our Show Off nursing bras, which have a soft cup and no padding.

East West Breast

East West Breasts

If your breasts appear to point outwards or slightly gravitate away from the center of your chest, then you have East West Breasts.

Recommended Bras - Ideally a bra that pulls your breast in slightly would be great, however when your breast feeding, often comfort takes first place. Our Forever Yours range of bras offer great support with a padded cup, however, we would recommend going into this bra, once your breast feeding has been established.

Side Set Breasts

Side Set Breasts

If your breasts have a wide gap in between them, but your nipples tend to point a little more forward, then it looks like you might be a Side Set Breast.

Recommended Bras - Like the East West, Ideally a bra that pulls your breast in slightly would be great, Eclipse has side panels designed to centre the breasts.

Tear Drop Breasts

Tear Drop Breast

Tear Drop breasts are generally rounded but slightly less full at the top.

Recommended Bras - Tear drop breasts tend to look good in most bras, so go for any of our soft cup nursing bras including Show Off, Chic or Eclipse ranges.

Bell Shaped Breasts

Bell Shape Breasts

Bell Shape breasts are generally larger sized breasts that are narrower at the top, then drastically fuller toward the bottom.

Recommended Bras - Because Bell Shape breasts are generally larger, try our Lure Nursing bras which have extra support for larger breasts and are available right up to a J cup. Or our popular Show Off collection.

Slender Breasts

Slender Breasts

Slender breasts tend to be slimmer at the top, fuller at the bottom, and longer than they are wide. Extra evidence for having slender boobs is if they're relatively small in cup size.

Recommended Bras - Because slender breasts are generally on the smaller side, our Forever Yours bras could be a good option for you as they go down to an A cup. However Forever Yours is best once your breastfeeding routine has become more established. In those early days when your breasts are very full, our Show Off and Eclipse range of bras would be perfect.

Asyemmetrical BreastsAsymmetrical Breasts

Asymmetrical breasts is when one breast is larger than the other. This can be quite noticeable to barely noticeable.

Recommended Bras - Don't race off and get a custom made bra for you. Why not try our My Necessity bra (which is incredibly stretchy and comfortable) and try removing one of the breast pads. Or try any of our nursing bras and add 1 or 2 nursing pads into the cup that is smaller.

So, there you have it. Have fun and if you have any queries on what bra you should be buying, don't hesitate to contact us. Remember comfort and beauty within comes first, and feeling sexy is an added bonus :)
